Brookeson were approached by a leading UK technology and innovation organisation to provide specialist stainless steel fabrication capability to enable the manufacture of a mobile waste-to-energy pyrolysis project.

The project developed to include the production of a full scale working prototype which was installed, by Brookeson, at the customer’s test location.  Brookeson were responsible for the complete mechanical assembly including structural steelwork, refractory lined combustion chambers and ducting, feed conveyors and housing.

12 months after the initial customer contact, the system was ready to enter production and was supplying heat and hot water to their facilities using waste reclaimed from the customer’s site.

For Brookeson this project was the perfect opportunity to highlight that its design and fabrication capabilities extend beyond stainless steel IBCs and totes.
